Rudraksha Mala - 108 Prayer BeadsRegular price $30.50
Prayer for Lord Shiva
Mantra: Om Namah Shivaya
Rudraksha means "the eye of Lord Shiva" in Sanskrit. Rudraksha beads are the seeds of a Himalayan fruit tree that the scriptures say sprang from Lord Shiva's tears while he meditated with open eyes to save the world from evil forces. Rudrkasha beads are treasured for the manifold powers they bestow, such as tranquility, concentration, and above all, assistance on the path to enlightenment.
The mala is a sacred string of prayer beads blessed with mantras that spiritual aspirants use in a practice called "japa". Each mala has the auspicious number of 108 beads plus the untouched Sumeru bead, which are made from natural materials capable of carrying energetic vibrations. Japa is a type of communication between 'here' and 'beyond', between the part and the Whole. As in all types of communication, it cannot be the mumbling of empty words, it cannot be a mechanical or robotic repetition, but it must express an authentic and sincere intention. The mantra should be recited with the highest attention and deeply interiorized.
All malas are knotted in between the beads. These prayer beads now come in new, attractive cases specifically designed to protect and seal their spiritual energy. Each encasement is decorated with the Divine form to which the mala is connected, and comes with information on the beads and their ideal mantra. Fortify and beautify your spiritual practice with these prayer malas made of precious stone, and auspicious wood.
